Mr. Radebe's leadership journey began in the 1990s as a shop steward for Saccawu. Over the years, he has held various roles, including Chairperson of B&R Creche in Soweto (2002-2004) and Chairperson of Sanco, a civic organization (2009-2012).

In 2008, Mr. Radebe joined the Community Policing Forum (CPF) in Lehae as a patroller. His dedication and leadership skills led to his election as Chairperson of CPF Sector 4 in 2014, a position he has held ever since, with re-elections in 2019 and 2024.

Mr. Radebe's passion for community work stems from his desire to help society solve problems. He has identified key issues in the area, including high crime rates and conflict resolution. Mr Radebe shared his thoughts on Lehae Marketplace that will launch on the 21st of April

"Our role will be to ensure the marketplace is a safe and secure environment for all. We'll work closely with the police and patrollers to maintain a visible presence and prevent potential criminal activity," he added.

His nature to help allows him to go as far as allowing residents to use his personal resources (airtime and data) to call emergency services like ambulance and police services. He also helps reports whenever there is faults with electricity, water shortage or sewer eruption.
